A few things on VirgilTrack’s screens don’t work yet in this version. They are listed here so you don’t lose time on them. None of them deletes or changes your work. For each one, you’ll find what you see, what happens, and what to do instead.
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple on the Sign In page |
Nothing. |
Sign in with your email address and password. See Sign in and sign out. |
| Remember Me on the Sign In page |
Ticking it doesn’t keep you signed in for longer. Your sign-in lasts some hours either way. |
Sign in again when VirgilTrack asks. On a shared computer, select Sign Out when you finish. |
| Terms and Plans at the bottom of the Sign In page |
Nothing. |
For questions about VirgilTrack, use Contact Us beside them. |

What to do instead |
| Docs & User Manual at the bottom of the menu |
It opens the Virgil Finance website, not this manual. |
Keep this manual’s address as a bookmark in your browser. Inside VirgilTrack, you can also ask Virgil Copilot. See How to use this manual. |
| Changelog vX.X.X in the menu |
It opens a page about the first version of the product only. |
See What’s new. |
| Work Record in the menu, and Open my work record in Settings›, then Your account |
Unless you are a platform administrator, you see “You are not authorized to view this page.” |
Ask Virgil Copilot, for example “What have I done this year?”. See What Virgil can do and Your work record. |

What happens |
What to do instead |
| Enable grid view, after Actions: in the bar under the header of the CEO Dashboard |
Nothing. |
Nothing: the dashboard has only one layout. See The CEO Dashboard. |
| The Critical Assets Value card on the CEO Dashboard |
It always shows 0, because it doesn’t add anything up yet. |
Ignore it. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| Export on the Risk Repository page |
It opens Export Risk Catalog, with Select Export Format: and Risk Category:, but nothing is exported. Submit and Discard take you back to your start page. |
To get a list of your department’s risks, make a risk report. See Make a risk report. |
| Reset in the Filter menu of the Risk Repository |
It only closes the menu. |
Choose ALL RISKS and select Apply. See The risk repository. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| Keep on a progress note in From your email, where the page says kept notes are used in council reports and strategy insights |
VirgilTrack saves your choice, but no report or insight uses kept notes yet. |
If the note matters for your work, add it to your weekly report yourself. See Tasks from your email. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| The KPI Review row under Workspace access on the Manage page |
Tagging someone there doesn’t let them record KPI results. No screen in VirgilTrack gives that permission. |
Email support@virgilfinance.com with the person’s name and organisation: only Virgil Finance can switch it on. As CEO, you can record results through Virgil Copilot. See Record KPI results. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| Settings on the Report Builder page, which opens Filter Options with a Save My Current Settings: switch and Reset and Apply buttons |
Nothing changes, and your choices aren’t saved for next time. |
Choose your settings each time you make a report. See Make a risk report. |
| Reset at the bottom of the Report Builder page |
Nothing. |
Change the settings back yourself. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| The share link button, beside the button with three dots on each row of the File Manager |
It only shows “Generating Share Link…”. No link is made. |
Everyone in your organisation can already open the file in the File Manager. Send a colleague the folder’s address, or attach the file in Private chat. |
| Search Files & Folders in the File Manager |
Typing doesn’t change the list. |
Open the folders to find the file. |
| The Files and Settings tabs under the File Manager’s header |
They take you away from the File Manager. |
Open File Manager from the menu on the left again. See The File Manager at a glance. |
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| The list beside each pending invitation in the Invite a Member window, showing Manager, with Regular and CEO |
Choosing another role doesn’t change the invitation. At most, a small message with the role’s name appears. The person joins as you invited them. |
After they join, change their role. See Role Management and Invite team members. |
| Keep my profile private under Profile in Settings |
VirgilTrack saves your choice, but no screen uses it yet. Colleagues see the same about you as before. |
Nothing for now. See Your data and privacy. |
These only concern VirgilTrack’s platform administrators.
| What you see |
What happens |
What to do instead |
| On the Admin Dashboard, the Search Risk box and the Add a team member and Enable grid view buttons in the bar under the header |
Nothing. |
To invite someone, use the organisation’s own page. See When people join or leave. |
| On the Admin Dashboard, the Admin Index heading and the get db path button |
The button only shows technical file locations. |
Ignore both. |
| Suspend access on an organisation’s page |
The organisation’s status becomes Suspended, but its people can still sign in on the Sign In page and use VirgilTrack as normal. |
To stop one person signing in now, lock their account. See Users and Organisations. |
| Add RiskRegister Risk on the Risk Repository page |
The suggestion is saved, but it doesn’t appear in any organisation’s repository. |
Ask the organisation’s people to add the risk with Add risk. See Add suggested risks to the repository. |
