How to use this manual
This manual is a website. You can search it, read it on any device, print it, download it as a PDF, read it in other languages and hand it to an AI assistant. This page shows you how.
Find what you need
Section titled “Find what you need”Search
Section titled “Search”Select Search at the top of any page, or press / or Ctrl + K (Cmd + K on a Mac). Type a few words, such as “add a risk” or “forgot password”, and select a result to open that page at the right section.
Search for the words you see on screen in VirgilTrack, or for what you want to do.
Browse
Section titled “Browse”- The list on the left shows every chapter and its pages, in reading order. On a phone, open it with the menu button at the top.
- On this page lists the sections of the page you’re reading. Select one to jump to it.
- Previous and Next at the bottom of each page take you through the manual in order.
- The home page suggests where to start for each role, and lists popular tasks.
How pages are laid out
Section titled “How pages are laid out”Most pages explain one task, such as Sign up your organisation, or one screen. You’ll see the same things on each:
- Who can use this: badges under the title show which roles the page is for: Employee, Manager, CEO or Administrator. Pages without badges are for everyone.
- Open in VirgilTrack opens the screen the page describes, in a new browser tab. If you aren’t signed in, VirgilTrack asks you to sign in first.
- Numbered steps tell you what to do, one action at a time.
- Paths such as Your picture, then Settings mean “select Your picture, then Settings”.
- Bold words are exactly what you’ll see on screen: button names, menu items and field labels. They keep VirgilTrack’s own spelling, such as “Organization”, so you can match them.
- Notes, tips and cautions stand out in coloured boxes. A caution warns you about something that is hard to undo.
- Pictures of the screen use a made-up demo organisation. Your screen may look a little different, depending on your role and your organisation’s information.

In your browser’s print window you can also choose Save as PDF to keep a copy on your computer.
Read the manual in your language
Section titled “Read the manual in your language”The manual is written in English. Choose another language with the language list at the top of the page.
- Afrikaans is switched on. The manual’s menus and buttons are in Afrikaans, and pages appear in Afrikaans as they are translated.
- The manual is ready to be translated into Namibia’s languages, Oshindonga, Oshikwanyama, Khoekhoegowab, Otjiherero, Rukwangali, Silozi and Setswana, and into German. Each language appears in the list once its translation starts.
- A page that hasn’t been translated yet shows the English text, with a notice in your language saying that the page isn’t available in your language yet.
- A translation that a native speaker hasn’t checked yet says so at the top of the page. If anything is unclear, read the English page.
VirgilTrack’s screens are in English, so translated pages keep the on-screen words in English. Sometimes a translation follows in brackets the first time a word appears.
