Move an item to another day

Managers and the CEO can move items in the calendar by dragging them to another day. It’s the quickest way to reschedule.
Move an item
Section titled “Move an item”- Open Execution, then Calendar.
- Select month.
- Drag the item to its new day, and let go.
VirgilTrack shows “Schedule updated!”. If the move couldn’t be saved, it shows “Failed to reschedule event.” and the item goes back to where it was.
What changes
Section titled “What changes”| You move | What changes | Who is told |
|---|---|---|
| An event or calendar task | Its date. Its start and end times stay the same. | Nobody. Tell the people involved, for example in the event’s Discussion. |
| A strategy task | Its due date. The task’s first due date is kept, the move is counted, and the reason is recorded as “Moved on the calendar”. Its status stays the same. | The person the task is for gets an email and a notification, Due date changed, unless that’s you. |
| A risk control | Its next review date. | Nobody. The control’s review reminders follow the new date. |
Dragging a scheduled risk review doesn’t change it, even though you see “Schedule updated!”: it is back on its own date the next time the calendar loads. To change a risk’s next review, edit the risk. See Edit a risk.
