Kudos are a short, specific thank-you for someone’s work. The person is told straight away, and sees the kudos on their Me tab.
Send kudos
Section titled “Send kudos”Say what the person did and the difference it made. “Thank you for finishing the debtors reconciliation two days early. It let us send the audit pack on time.” means more than “Well done”.
-
Open Emotional Intelligence, then Your team.
-
Find the person, and select Send kudos next to their name.
-
Type your message in the box. It suggests: “Be specific: what did they do, and what difference did it make?”
-
Select Send kudos.
You see “Kudos sent.”.
Your team lists only the people who report to you directly.
-
Open Virgil Copilot with the round button in the bottom-right corner, or Ctrl + K.
-
Ask, for example: “Send Naledi kudos for finishing the Gobabis WIP early.”
Virgil prepares a card headed with the person’s name, such as “Kudos to Naledi …”, showing your message.
-
Check the message, then select Confirm.
You can send kudos to anyone in your organisation, except yourself. See Confirm what Virgil prepares.
What the person receives
Section titled “What the person receives”- A notification in VirgilTrack: “Kudos from” and your name, with your message.
- An email, “… sent you kudos”, headed with your name and “recognised your work”, with your message and a See your kudos button. It isn’t sent if they’ve switched off Kudos emails.
- The kudos on their Me tab, under Kudos you’ve received.
Their manager sees, in the Your team tab, how many kudos each person received in the last 30 days. If someone with open tasks has had no kudos in a month, the Your team tab notes it.
See the kudos you’ve received
Section titled “See the kudos you’ve received”Open Emotional Intelligence, then Me. Kudos you’ve received shows your 20 most recent kudos, each with the message, who sent it and how long ago. If you have none yet, it says “None yet. They’ll appear here.”
